Niah Humphrey

Niah Humphrey has worked in the news industry since 2019. She began her career as a morning news producer and bureau reporter for WALB in Albany, Georgia. After two years, she joined CNN in Atlanta in 2021 as a Production Assistant before transitioning into an Associate Producer role with CNN International. During her time with CNN International, Niah earned her first Emmy Award for outstanding breaking news coverage of the Israel-Hamas War.

Beyond her career, Niah is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s Decatur/DeKalb Chapter, where she leads media initiatives and manages the chapter’s social media platforms. Passionate about storytelling and growing digital audiences, she is committed to sharing impactful stories that resonate both locally and nationally.

Niah was born and raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication, with a minor in Spanish, from Auburn University in 2018.
In her spare time, Niah enjoys traveling, riding her Peloton bike, running, and reading. After a long day, there’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book, no matter the genre.
