WBHM is a listener-supported service of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and served proudly as Public Radio for the Heart of Alabama since 1976.
WBHM’s news, business, and fundraising operations are comprised of a small and mighty team who are passionate about the mission of public radio and non-profit news and information services for our entire community. WBHM is licensed to UAB and follows all hiring practices and protocols. Career opportunities are posted on WBHM’s website and other locations in order to reach a wide range of candidates and job skills. All applications must be submitted through UAB’s career page to be officially considered. Phone calls and station visits regarding openings are discouraged.
