Nelson Graves

Nelson Graves is a Birmingham native and UAB graduate. He received his BA in History with a focus on Ancient, Medieval, and Renaissance cultures in 2026. He brings ten years of audio production experience to WBHM and has worked in music composition, radio, and commercial tasks within the Ableton Live digital audio workstation platform. In 2012, he was awarded the Medal of Valor by the Hoover Fire Department due to an incident where his father suffered a medical emergency and fell into a body of water. A prolific reader, you can find him on his off days turning pages in the science fiction and fantasy sections of the library.
