Winners are in italics. If no candidate won a majority, the top two vote-getters will head to a runoff scheduled for June 16.

Gov. Kay Ivey has scheduled a special primary election on Aug. 11 for the 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th Congressional Districts. The change comes after the U.S. Supreme Court halted an order requiring the state to use a congressional map with two largely-Black districts. Instead, state leaders plan to use a Republican-backed map from 2023 that could help the party pick up a House seat.

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen said Tuesday's votes will be tabulated for those four congressional districts but will be “void for the purposes of determining the party nominees." The Aug. 11 primary will determine those nominees in winner-take-all races without a runoff.

However, the district lines remain the subject of litigation. If opponents are successful, the winner of Tuesday's primary will determine the party nominees.

But if they're not and the new map goes forward, the Aug. 11 special primary will decide which nominees will appear on ballots in November.

Statewide turnout on Tuesday was 23%.
