Weeknights in July, 9 p.m.
Tuxedo Junction is a daily hour of traditional jazz music presented in cooperation with Samford University’s WVSU 91.1 FM and hosted by Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame member Bart Grooms. Drawing on a library of nearly 90 years' worth of jazz recordings, Grooms takes listeners on a journey through the history of America's native art form. The show's name is taken from the famous jazz club in the Ensley neighborhood of Birmingham, commemorated in song by Erskine Hawkins.
Please give us your honest opinions on the new programs. What did you like? What did you not like? And, if you've got the time, tell us why, too. Once we've got the community's "diagnosis," it will help WBHM write a prescription for change!
