Tim graduated from Homewood High School and has spent his entire working career in Alabama, except for a 5 year tour in the US Navy. He began his broadcasting in Selma as a reporter and disc jockey. After the Navy, Tim began college in Tuscaloosa and worked as a program director and afternoon drive DJ on a country AM/FM. From T-town he moved to Montgomery as a DJ and music director and then to Birmingham.

Tim finished college at UAB and went to work with Birmingham and Bessemer Cable as a Community Program Director. There he produced local TV programs for the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Birmingham Library, Birmingham Museum of Art, the Sheriff’s Department, hundreds of high school sporting events as well as hundreds of interviews between two ferns. He retired from Brighthouse Networks after 25 years and has since been volunteering with the Alabama Reading Service. In addition he now does Saturday announcing on WBHM.
