Latin Rhythms Band

Listen Now

The Latin Rhythms Band has been entertaining audiences throughout the Tennessee Valley since its debut at Jazz-n-June at Monte Sano's little ampitheatre in the summer of 1995. Performing in music festivals, night clubs, Mexican cantinas, and private fiestas and dances, Latin Rhythms Band has evolved from playing Latin jazz to a current line-up that includes salsa, merengue, boleros, bossa novas, guajira, guaguanco, and Latin rock -- including some originals and cover tunes of Santana, War, and the late Tito Puente.

The music features vocals, trumpet, trombone, electric bass, keyboard, drum kit, congas, bongos, and an assortment of Latin percussion - maracas, clave, cow bell, Cuban guiro, merengue guiro, and timbales - and is inspired by the cultures and musical traditions of Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, Panama, and Mexico.
