At first glance, Natalie Moon (formerly Natalie Miskimon) may not seem much like your typical female singer songwriter. Quiet and unassuming, her casual demeanor stands in stark contrast to her presence behind a microphone. A gifted songwriter, she falls somewhere between Lori Chafer and Emmylou Harris, evoking both the folk traditions of the South and the cutting edge of contemporary acoustic music. Natalie Moon is not out to be known as a great singer, songwriter, or musician. Rather her purpose lies in leading others to worship through music, an endeavor to which she has devoted her life. Previously, Natalie Moon had been a worship leader at various ministries, including the University of Georgia Wesley Foundation, First UMC in Athens, GA, First UMC in Albany, and St. Simon's Island UMC. Recently, she has been leading worship at Riverchase United Methodist Church in Birmingham and playing at various music venues in the South, including Eddie's Attic and Cambridge Coffee. She continues to write songs for a new album to be recorded in the near future.
