Donovan Gravlee, aka Cahaba started playing in heavy metal bands at age 12. He eventually gave up on the whole "band thing" because people would never show up for practice. Deciding to do everything himself. Gravlee started building up a home studio at age 16.

He enjoys evolving sounds, sounds that were old, mangled, and ugly. In particular Gravlee enjoys the creation process and gets bored with working on one song after about 30 minutes so he starts another only to come back to the previous song at a later time.

Gravlee has never been paid for music. For him, the recording process is kind of like therapy -- spilling your guts into a recording device and the reward is that you get to hit rewind, press play then hear your speakers spit your dreams and ideas back out at you.
