If Money Grew on Trees

90.3 WBHM | Birmingham -- Charitable giving is at an all-time high, but donations to the nation's largest charities dropped in 2002 ... the first decrease in more than a decade, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. The newspaper attributes the drop to uncertainties about the economy and increased competition for money among charities - and some observers believe increased scrutiny of charities and philanthropists themselves might also play a role. WBHM's Tanya Ott reports.
