Sarah Delia grew up in a household where both the Beatles and public radio were welcome. The combination of John Lennon’s lyrics and Garrison Keillor’s stories contributed to the music and public radio fan she is today.
Originally from Virginia, Sarah became hooked on radio during her college years at James Madison University. It was there that she made lifelong friends at her college radio station WXJM. During her time at WXJM she reviewed music, hosted several programs, and eventually became the Programming Director of the station.
Sarah interned at NPR at the Arts Desk and has done production work for NPR’s Morning Edition. She has also interned at WNYC’s Studio 360 and was a freelancer for a year in New York City. In 2010 Sarah graduated from the Salt Institute for Radio Documentary Studies under the guidance of its then radio instructor Rob Rosenthal.
Most recently, Sarah spent the past two years in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Northeast Indiana Public Radio where she hosted several programs, reported, and produced various stories and shows.
A fan of vinyl records, cats, dogs, bikes, ukuleles, vintage clothing, and good storytelling, Sarah can be reached at 205-934-2262 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
