As WBHM's program director, Michael Krall oversees the station's on-air staff and the entire broadcast schedule for both WBHM and the Alabama Radio Reading Service. Additionally, you can hear him filling in from time to time on-air, as well as hear his interviews with classical artists and other musicians who make their way through Birmingham.
Originally from Chappaqua, N.Y., Michael came to WBHM in September of 1998 from WCBU in Peoria, Ill. He has spent his entire career in public radio since graduating from the University of Maine (he also worked at Maine Public Radio). In addition, he's worked at WKNO in Memphis and WSCL in Salisbury, Md. In Birmingham, Michael has served as one of the co-producers of Tapestry, WBHM's local arts and culture show.
Michael lives in Homewood and has a daughter Nora, and son, Landon.
