Karin Gillespie

Extended interview with Karin Gillespie

Life has been a winding road for Karin Gillespie. Her first job was as a cocktail waitress at a place called Mr. Tom Cats. Next, Gillespie worked as a travel agent, then a special ed teacher at an inner city school. Finally, she parlayed her next job as editor of a local parenting magazine into a novel, Bet Your Bottom Dollar.

Bet Your Bottom Dollar introduces readers to the Bottom Dollar Emporium, where nearly everything from coconut mallow cookies to Clabber Girl Baking Powdercosts a dollar and the gossip is always free. Gillespie talked with WBHM's Tanya Ott about her novel and her newfound career as a novelist.
