Taking the name from an old Hank Williams song, The Great Book of John describe their music as indie/folk.
Their new CD, "Yve's Blues" features a looser approach to their music. The band describes it as a perfect imperfection of live takes, free of over-production, stripped of excess electronic and reverberating simulation.
