The Exhibit(s) are one of Birmingham's most un-heralded bands. Featuring guitarist Eric McGinty, multi-instrumentalist CarlosPino, drummer Chance Shirley and bassist Ken McCracken, The Exhibit(s) don't fill an easy niche -- perhaps for this reason, they rarely end up on a lot of local indie rock bills. Instead, they enjoy a popular residency at Bailey's Pub where they can keep a crowd dancing for hours with both McGinty's urgent compositions and covers generously re-interpreted in the band's image. Everyone seems to agree that it's rock music, though elements of classical, jazz, folk and country work their way into the sound.
