Wait Wait . . . Don't Tell Me! Coming to Birmingham!

Ever wonder if Carl Kasell is as cute as he sounds? Or if Peter Sagal is as bald as he sounds?

You can find out for yourself on Thursday, February 28 when WBHM presents Wait Wait . . . Don't Tell Me!, NPR's weekly hour-long quiz show, live at Samford University's Wright Arts Center. Join Peter, Carl, and their panel of experts as they test their own - and callers' - knowledge of the latest news in politics, sports, entertainment, and the world.

Panelists for the February show will be author and humorist Roy Blount, Jr., comedian Paula Poundstone, and Boston Globe sports writer Charlie Pierce. Lucky callers can play as well and could win the biggest prize in public radio - Carl Kasell's voice on their home answering machine.

This is Wait Wait . . . Don't Tell Me!'s first trip to Birmingham, and we hope you will join us at the Wright Center to make them feel welcome. The show begins at 7:30. The program taped that evening will air on Saturday, March 1 (rebroadcast Sunday at 5 p.m.), so you can listen to hear yourself clap!

Tickets are $50, $40 and $25 and you get get yours by calling 975-ARTS, or by going to the Alys Stephens Center online! Student tickets available for $15! Must have a valid ID; available in person only at the Alys Stephens Center Box Office, or at the Wright Center the evening of the performance. 1 ticket per ID.
