Because Public Radio WBHM 90.3 FM is a listener-supported service of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, our primary source of operating funds is member donations. Your gifts make it possible for WBHM – “Your NPR News Station” and home to the Alabama Radio Reading Service for the blind – to remain North Central Alabama’s resource for award-winning regional journalism, as well as national news and entertainment programs such as Morning Edition, Car Talk, Fresh Air, All Things Considered and Marketplace, both on-air and online at www.wbhm.org..

New this year, you can become a Sustaining Member of WBHM and never have to renew your membership again! Your annual contribution will renew automatically until you tell us to stop; and, more of each contribution will go to support the programming you value because we won’t need to mail renewal notices.

Broadcasters Society

The Broadcasters Society was established in 2002 to recognize WBHM's most generous supporters, those who donate $1,000 or more a year. That's just $83.34 per month.

Over 45 Broadcasters Society members play a vital role in keeping the vision of quality programming alive at WBHM. Broadcaster Society members enjoy some special membership benefits, including a quarterly station update letter from Interim General Manager Kristi Lamont Ellis the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance to special events and performances; invitation to WBHM receptions.

But the most important benefit is knowing that you are helping to ensure the future of public service radio for all of North Central Alabama.
