90.3 WBHM Birmingham--The current financial crisis is fueling chronic stress and limiting some people's ability to think clearly and control their emotions. But UAB psychologist Josh Klapow says the best way to cope is to take action by developing a family budget, taking a step back (Don't watch the undulations of the stock market on an hourly basis), and staying connected to friends and family.

We'd like to add one more suggestion to that list: Laugh! Many studies document the healing power of laughter, but there's a true living laboratory for it in Trussville, where Beverly and Sam Gardner are raising 16 children. They tell WBHM's Tanya Ott that, especially during lean economic times, a little laughter goes a long way.
