Mike Morgan

For the past 12 years Mike has served as WBHM's General Manager. He's enjoyed working in public radio for almost 35 years. During that time he's served in a variety of capacities, including, but not limited to, Music Director, Technical Director, News Manager and Program Director. Thankfully, now he has competent staff to handle all those jobs.

He began in public radio work at KOSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma, while going to School at Oklahoma State University. He's also worked at public radio stations in Missouri and Mississippi before coming to WBHM.

Mike and his wife, Terri, are supporters of the UAB Blazers. He still roots for the OSU Cowboys, while Terri may be a bit more passionate about the Hoover High Bucs. They are the proud grandparents of twins Katelyn and Dylan Morgan.

Mike has been active in the national arena for a number of years. He's also served in a variety of positions with regional public radio organizations...Southern Public Radio (SPR) and Public Radio In Mid-America (PRIMA). He's also worked on several national radio task forces, one working with stations and public radio program distributors to determine how best to utilize satellite radio, and the other helping public radio work with corporate underwriting issues.
